Arrow is a more personal piece with a fair bit of symbolism sneaking its way in. It started off as a simple sketch in bed. I don’t tend to draw people as much as I used to, so it was refreshing to scribble this woman. She sprouted wings and grasped hold of an arrow. The arrow has been a symbol of strength for me for many years now after a conversation with a dear friend and mentor. In my darkest days, I still had an arrow to fight with. Even if it didn’t seem like much, it was more than nothing. Soon enough I had a quiver full of arrows.
