Folklore was a piece I had come up with for an art challenge all based around All Hallow's Eve traditions. There were six works in total and this one's prompt was the word "folklore". As I sketched and explored this word, I decided upon the king of the forests Cerunnos and an ancient depiction of him. I replaced Cerunnos, a satyr type creature, with an antlered horse as all my sketches for this challenge had horses in them.I managed to get as far as a colour sketch in Photoshop as I had intended it to be a digital illustration. This piece had many hiatuses and when I can back to it I had taken up colour pencils. As a result, this piece developed into a colour pencil artwork with a dabbling if panpastels. I feel I need to do more like this. It was quite a project but I found its result to be very appealing!
